Default Almost wet myself today

Im on the market for a vette, and when I passed by the chevy dealer, I saw one parked in the "customer parking" section. I hope its a trade in! It was a C5, black on black with black rims, borla stingers, and the rear light louvers. The car was IMMACULATE (one thing I love about these cars is that everyone takes care of them, ive NEVER seen a dirty one). It looked like it had just been waxed, and tire black just put on. Anyways, if its a trade in, there is a huge chance that im going to buy it, the car looked amazing!

Say, how did you get that forum name without yet owning a Vette?

Seriously, know what they are selling for before you start negotiating. Bring an Auto Trader or Corvette trader average prices for that year, In other words, do your research, first!

Good luck!

We wish we could agree, we only just bought ours this past weekend. But we looked at a 99 C5 and it was Tore up from the Floor up. Cracked front fender, massive scratches on the right rear quarter, screwed up targa top, was missing a lug nut (not the stud, just the nut) one center cap, passenger seat was torn...drivers was great though.
We plan on keeping ours as clean as possible though and a majority of the ones we have seen have been but we've seen a dirty one

... and tire black just put on. ...
That kinda' stuff bothers me... Oily, 'juicy stuff' runnin' down the rubber and rims just don't look good. And that great big wet spot on the pavement in front of the tire from overspray drenching. Impressive is a little armor-all on the weatherstripping, so the top almost slides off when unbolted;and clean door jambs are a big positive.

When I was lookin', I clicked 'next', whenever I saw that stuff in the pictures.

Better wet tires than wet yer britches tho'... Did you get a car?

Dont worry, Im extremely cautious when buying a car, I bought my last car with 3,500 worth of incentives, and plan to make a smart buy on the vette as well. The only thing that appealed to me about this car, is it had the exact mods that I would do. I plan to get one either from the auction (my friend goes down) or my friends dealership specializing in vettes - he will sell me a c5 for the trade-in value.
