ANNOYING FRONT END SQUEAKS
ORIGINAL: gorichb
Just to be sure, I got under the front end again, There is No Grease Fittings.
I don't even see any areas where they could be put? So what gives here?

I don't know much about this, but I can't help but wonder if maybe those are those sealed fittings that are not designed for servicing? I suspect it's time to go hide now, as I am probably way wrong here.....

Actually bet your absolutely right there TopSpeed. They look sealed to me, and no way to grease them. Looks like I'll be taking her in for some front end work in a few months... [:-]
Check your A-frame pivot points for zerts. And as said before, get your head down there so you can listen. Since you hear the squeak without the steering being moved, my bet is the A-frame bushings, or the struts. Nothing else is moving. Maybe,.....maybe, the the sway bar bushings.
Update on the Front end squeak.
I was under there this morning changing all 4 bulbs, (marker and DRL), and decided to loosen the mounting bolts for the swaybar bushings. I Lubed inside the bushing with a silicone, and blew the dust and dirt out from under the mounting plates. I'm pretty sure the bushings are old and dry, because guess what, NO MORE squeak.
Just thought I would update in case anyone else has this issue.

gorichb i have the same prob with my c-5 except mine squeaks in the rear too. i've had the front and rear control arm bushings lubed several times. it stays queit for a little while then they come back. i am probably going to order new bushings in the near future and replace them. i hope yours stay quiet. however i'm not sure the sway bar bushings where lubed in my c-5. i'll have to check with my mech who did the relube. hardluck
