Ok so I am looking to buy an Intake for my 04 Vette. Trying to find out which one to buy. Is the Callaway Honker worth the extra money. Does it really give more power? What other systems do you recommend? Thanks for any help.

this seems to be the question of the month.
I chose the Honker because i liked the fact it re-positioned the MAF sensor, it's C.A.R.B. legal, it's a true C.A.I., and it's well designed.
I'm happy with it so far, no regrets, and i definately have noticed an increase in HP. I would say, YES $500.00+ for it is rather expensive, but like that 'ol saying you get what you pay for. If you have to have it installed, than i would say the $600.00 + it's going to cost is definately not worth the gain in HP for the $$$.
Go with the Stinger, or one of the others.
I have always had K&N after market intakes on my other vehicles, and have always been happy with them. I chose to go with the Honker for the vette, after reading some of the posts from the forum here.
Guess it really comes down to personal preference, and how much money you want to spend.

thanks for the reply. I will buy the Honker if it is worth the extra money. I just want to make sure it is going to do something for the money I spend. I want to know I am going to get more power or improved power band or something for the extra.

As far as install a lot will have to depend on what it takes. I will make that decision once I get whatever I buy. Thanks again.
