I've had 2 C4's 86, and 95 and 2 C5's, 99 and currently a 2000, I would suggest that you drive both generations, the C5's are by far more driver friendly, I love the fact they are much easier to get in and out of them,(a lot lower sills) they have between 45 to 50 more HP than the LT1's- C4's, and 100 to 105 more HP than the L-98's, and I love my HUD, actually, with my 2000 I ran a 12.89 @ 108 with just Corsa exhaust and a Vararam intake on street tires, I cant complain about that, myself I wouldn't go back to a L-98 and lose that 100 HP, however I did like my 95, the only problems I had with that was in infamous opti-spark and 3 rear hubs,(hubs repaired under warranty) but over all IMO, I would rather have a C5 with 20 or 30,000 more miles than a C4, Just my 2 cents
