C5 Stereo Upgrade
Hey guys, just picked up my first vette and love it, a 2001 C5. I would like to know is there any type of device I can purchase to play my iphone music through the existing stereo, or do I have to purchase a new stereo unit? Thanks for any help or advice.

Charl,
To do that, you will need a new unit. I use an FM signal MP3 player (accepts USB or memory card) in my Mazda and it produces acceptable sound, considering that road noise makes spending big bucks on a new receiver almost pointless. Now, if you regularly sit in heavy traffic, a new receiver with ipod input may be worth the cost.

Thanks for the input, but I stopped by my Chevy dealer Friday and he suggested trying a blue tooth device. I picked up a Potato TuneLink Auto Wireless Car Audio Bluetooth on ebay and it works fantastic. I just needed to download the software from their website, then sync my iphone with the Potato Tunelink and I now can use my itunes off my iphone in my vette!
