C5 Transmission leak after rebuild
I have a 2001 Automatic Corvette purchased used with 40,000 miles on it March 06. Tranmission burned up January 07 with 48,000 miles on it, warranty company suggested AAMCO do the work and I was originally pleased, they said the pump had not pumped fluid correctly and they rebuilt the whole thing and by April 07, with 49,400 miles it was leaking fluid took it back they said it was leaking around the pan and fixed it. Memorial weekend at 50,000 miles coming back from NC to MD starts leaking small drops again, in the same shop for 4 days they said two seals were leaking and they were the hardest ones to get out requiring removal of tranny and rear end. Next day after getting it back it is dropping small drops again looks to be from the same place as before but now the drops are a blue-green color. Any ideas? Could they have tried to use some sort of stop leak? Would that be this color? I can't wait until Monday when I call the warranty company, I just don't want these people to work on it again, obviously they don't know what they are doing.

RE: C5 Transmission leak after rebuild
Well I had to take it back to the same AAMCO, no other one would look at it although it is supposed to be guranteed all across the US. This time not only was a hose leaking in the transmission it also needed a new rear end and this car only has 45,000 miles on it. It took a couple of weeks (???) said it was a complicated big job but they finally fixed it correctly I hope, no sign of leakage yet.
