Default C5R Suspension?

Hi all.....been a while since I've been in the room here.....been out of town and busy with some Air Force training.....anyway, I know someone from the track that put the C5R suspension on his car, lowers it almost an inch and he says it handles better and stops the car from bottoming out on the back stretch of the local track here, which mine does. I would think the suspension they put on the C5R would be pretty good. Any thoughts on this? I haven't been able to get a hold of him to ask where he got it. Just seeing what you all know out there on this. Thanks.

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't get anything that'll make your car a kidney punisher on the street, even if it enhances the track experience. A Z06 suspension is the stiffest I'd go, and I'm almost there with the Z51 suspension. Do you remember how hair-raising it was when you had runflat tires, going around a less-than-smooth curve? The side-stepping sends you skipping toward the guard rails as your face turns white - that's what'll happen with a full-track suspension unless you go to the trouble of getting coil-overs to replace the leaf springs.

The C5r suspension is pretty radical and requires a lot of work to put on the car. In my opinion it's not worth the effort for the street or anything except all-out, no-budget racing.
