Changing the behavior of the front marker/signals?
Sometime I want to change the behavior of my front turn signals if its possible. is there only a single bulb in there? or are there more than one? from the looks of it I think there is only a single dual filament bulb. sock of course when you turn on the car the DRLs make the front bulbs turn on bright. the signals make it flash from high to low. when you turn on the parking lights or headlights, they go dim as running lights, and flash bright with the signals.
here's what I want to do...
disable the DRL's, I hate them! I understand there's a fuse. I want to try to rewire the front lights so they will be have as they do when the headlights/parking lights are OFF. I want to have the headlights or parking lights on, and have the front marker lights be on bright mode normall, and flash to dim with the signal. I always run the parking lights on with my cars, 24 hours a way, I like the safety, and I like the way it looks to have lights on all the time. but I was hoping that with just the parking lights on the front markers would run bright normally...does anyone know if this can be done? or how hard it is? I haven't looked at the wiring in there yet. I just want the front marker lights to stay off when I have the lights switch off...no DRL's, and to work like they normally do in DRL mode when the parking lights or headlights are on.
thanks for any info!

Iunderstand what you're wanting to do, althoughI don't think it's possible tomake it work exactly the way you want it to. I also like to drive with my parking lights on and want the DRL'sto stay bright whenI turn themon.
There is a way you can actually wire it so that the DRL's stay on full time. I suppose you could also hook them up to a manual toggle switch so that they would stay off when ever you wanted them to. Unfortunately I don't see how it would be possible to do both though.
I for one am planning on doing the full time DRL Mod,and that's because Iprefer the bright lights onall the time. But hey, if you dofigure out a way to have your cake and eat it too, make sure you post a thread about it here. I'd be curious just to see how it works.

interesting. So you know how you can wire it so the DRL's are always on, as in when you turn on the parking lights or headlights the DRL's will still keep the front lights on the brightest setting? Well that's a step closer to where I want to be. If you know how to do that please let me know. If I can get that far I'm thinking that finding the wires coming off of the lights switch and a relay or two might be able to accomplish what I'm looking for.
