Default Convertible Top Glass Unglued

I have a 2000 convertible that the back glass has come loose from the rubber strip that held the glass in place.Neither the glass nor the rubber strip appears tohave an adhesive residue on them. How was it attached from the factory? I assume that I am not the only one that has had this problem. Does anyone have a fix?

Default RE: Convertible Top Glass Unglued

Most shops will tell you it can't be fixed but I have seen posts on the "other" forum by people with your problem that have sucessfully glued in back in place. I can't remember the product they used but I'm sure you could do a search on this forum or the "other" forum about Corvettes and find the solution to your problem. Many people just replace their tops but if yours is still in good condition I would recommend re-glueing the window. In case you don't already know, a new top sells for about $500.00 plus about $500.00 for the install.
Good luck solving your problem!
