Default Creeking in back of 2000 vert

I recently started getting what I think is body creeking towards the rear of my 2000 vert. Is it possible that it could be suspension noise or just good old american car body noise. Car has 99,000 miles. Otherwise car is perfect.

Does this happen when you are taking off in first gear? If so, it could mean that one or more of the sway bar connections need to be tightened. I'll be checking mine out, soon when I change the oil.

Update: I checked out the sway bar connection when the car was in the air my annual oil change and sure enough, the nut was loose. I tightened it by grabbing the threaded end of the bolt with rag-insulated pliers and then turning the nut with an open-end wrench. You can't just turn the nut as it won't tighten without your retraining the screw from rotating with the nut.

End result: That clunking noise upon takeoff is long gone!
