C5 driving question

RE: C5 driving question
The active handling will intervene to try to keep the car from sliding or spinning out, should you do something boneheaded. After experimenting, I never drove my vette, even after modification, with it off. It saved my car three or four times, and my ***, once for sure that i know of.
If you are a pro (as I was briefly thirty years ago, before my reaction times and eyesight went to hell) and are on a road course, you can turjnit off and maybe gain a bit of speed by deliberating sliding (drifting the car). But for most of us, leave it on all the time.

3rd gear, hold the brakes andrun it upto 1800-2000, at the light roll the fun pedal on firmly til hookup, then mash it & you're gone.
It's why autos usually take an equally modded manual at the strip unless the manual driver is real good.
