Custom Fabbed Exhaust

Custom Fabbed Exhaust
I'm still broke... so that means not name brand exhaust for me... But I do the the tools and know how to make a custom exhaust out of my stock exhaust... Im just looking for some opinions on what would be best as far as flow and sound go.
I'm going to cut off my stock mufflers and would like to replace them with either a dump exhaust or a racing muffler of some type... then follow it out with another pipe and the tip/tips.
Any ideas on what would sound the best?? I'm trying to stay under $250 for now.
If you don't understand exactly what I'm saying, ask me to make myself clear. Sorry, I just worked a 12 hour day pouring concrete, Im a little tired lol
Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.
