Dash control unit LED read out
The temp control LED readout in my 2004 has gone dark, anyone know how to replace this or had the same issue?
Funny how the little things seem so big, I really need to see the temp read out....

The reason for the blackout is failed/intermittant solder joints. You can fix this, yourself if you can solder. First, remove the HVAC control box. Use the same instructions for accessing your shifter:

One of the circuit boards in the HVAC box has obviously-cracked solder joints. Simply resolder those and your display will be as good as new.
I fixed mine, a couple of years ago.
