Hello.....I have a 2000 and I need to confirm that the engine is, in fact, the original that came with the car. Can anyone tell me where the serial number is located.....and how to tie it to the Vin number......Thanks

 

Corvette engines have the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the block just ahead of the cylinder head on the right-hand side combined with a three-letter engine code suffix.

Hello.....I just checked the rt. front block area, just ahead of the cylinder head; and......no six digit number....no number at all. The machined pad is
perfetly clean. Could the number be somewhere else????
