Fule tank leak
No, doesnt seem right. Seems like this is a defect. Others have filed complaints on this. I think all they need is nine different people to file a complaint before they open an investigation. agree with KLR on the defect..especially if it's leaking from the cross tube connection on either/both tank(s). the trans does NOT have to come out wether it be manual or auto, but the service manual says it does. os easier on auto to remove trans but i have done it without removal. either way, they will bill you for at least 8 hours labor, the tank, o-rings and so on. still sounds high on cost though. best of luck!
at the shop i used to work at the tank started to leak on the drivers side on the bottom, i guess around the pump housing, because the owner was using race fuel and it ate away the seal
