Exclamation Help!!!

Hi all my 02 is freaking out, and i think it's the ignition switch. Many times it will not start at once but after a while it does. When it doesnt start the dash lights are dim and I believe this to be the ignition switch. The part is ordered but does anyone know how to remove and install a new one??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From my archives.....

Once you have the Radio Surround off, you can see there are 2 bolts holding the ignition switch to the dash. Once you remove them you have to push the switch back away from the dash and disconnect the 2main wiring harness connections and the small VATS connector. Really pretty simple - once you remove all the trim............Good Luck

Thumbs up All is good!

Thanks Dave01, I got the part for 40 bucks from ebay and did it last week and all is good! I had a little trouble getting the dash apart from the automatic shifter but i was able to move it enough to get to the two bolts holding it on. It was fairly easy just hard to get to and finding out how to get the key cylynder out of the old switch took a little time but was able to get it done thanks to a service dvd i had purchased.
