I am starting to hate my dealership!
I am starting to hate my dealership! I dropped my vette off for an oil change and drove home thinking all was well. Later that night when I went out, my husband noticed oil on the gargage floor where my vette had been. The idiots tightened one of the bolts too much and cracked the oil pan. Now my vette is in the shop until Monday because they didn't have the part in stock and the leak was too bad to drive home. I swear - these guys are morons. Almost everytime I have had something done, they have screwed up something else. Sorry, for my language, but as you can guess, I am ticked-off.
Oh, well, just wanted to vent.
Take care, stay safe.

Which dealership did you go to? I have had very good luck with Courtesy Chevrolet in Mission Valley.

About 50% of the time Courtesy Chev screws up. Don't get me wrong - they are the nicest guys, but first the body shop got overspray on my vette; then they got some kind of grease all over my front windshield and now this. Actually, I was being too kind saying 50% of the time - I haven't had my car that long, nor have I been to the dealership for workall that much. I have heard People Chev in Chula Vista is real good, but so far away. Guess I'll stick with Courtesy since they always make good on their mistakes. I am just really unhappy because I wait all week for the weekend and thanks to this most recent mistake, I am without my vette until Monday. Glad to hear you have had better experiences with them.
Thanks for your input.

The idiots here at Burt Chevy sliced one of my oil lines! I drove around with a sliced oil line and didn't even know it till I saw the puddle on the groundlol, that was real good. Also when it was in they actually called me and asked how to take the supercharger off!!! I had to walk them through it, did they pay me $100 an hr for my time..... Nope. Im never going to a dealer again unless its vette only ex: rocky mountain corvette.

Sorry to say that your story is a common one heard all over these states. The biggest problem is the severe shortage of qualified techs. I am speaking from a shop owners point of view. The problem is no one wants to get into this industry and get oily, greasy, sweaty, and just downright tired, so they are forced to hire second rate technicians. Now, I am not saying that they all are, as there are still a lot of very good techs out there that care. I can tell you, though, a lot just don't like putting up with the politics at a dealership. If you are not in good with the service writer or service manager, you get the crap work and since most pay flat rate, it means not as good paychecks. Good Luck and I hope they fix it right this time.
