....just getting off the highway, passing through an intersection when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a 69-70 Mustang Mach 1 exiting the highway. When he spotted me, he hit the intersection slightly sideways and the challenge was on! (you could hear this car from a mile away.) Unfortunately for the Mustang guy....

a) There was a sweeping corner coming up and
b) Vintage muscle cars can't do jack around corners at high speed

Thus, by the time I reached the next intersection, 1/2 mile away and after the sweeping corner, Mr. openheaderssuperloudexhaustmusclehead found himself 1/8-mile behind. In fact, I didn't see him again until I reached the bottom of the hill, during which time, he pulled to the open right lane and did a Ford fly-by (a car was in front of me, so all I could do was watch.....(the car was pristine and fairly fast....in a straight line)

Note: This happened at 6:15 AM and very, very few people were out on this road.

Anyway, I arrived to work refreshed and wide awake!

- I LOVE IT!!! And for that "fly-by", I always think that is such a pansy thing to do. Glad to hear it was early in the morning and conditions were fairly safe. Hey, have you ever noticed how most people drive like a bat-out-of-helll on I5-North, but I've never seen anyone get a ticket?????

Yep - used up a bit more gas than I normally do, too!

An old coworker and neighbor got nabbed for doing 120 on 15 North in his Camaro Z28. Fortunately for him, the fine was reasonable, considering the speed!
