Default leaking crankshaft seal& front susp issues

This weekend I will replace my leaky crank shaft seal, I am posting this to the forum becaus my 98 vette that I got for xmas seems to have had the fron end lowered. I cant seem to find factory ride height from the dealership or any shop. My question is how could I veryfy and raise my front ride hight.[] Ps how much do shocks play in my ride hight

Many of us have lowered our C5s using the factory bolts that are simply threadedenough to leave a few threads exposed. This method lowers the front and rear about one inch. Regarding the factory height: I would guess that a factory service manual would list these figures. I know my 68's manual did.

The 'vette suspension is so adjustable that it is difficult to know where to set it. I would suggest raising it 3/4 to 1 inch (most people lower the car an inch so you might start by backed off that), and see how you like it, rather than trying to hit any specific number, factory or otherwise. From time to time I've seen several ride height recommendations and they all differ slightly. What is best for you depends on your preference, the tires you have on it even, etc. What seems clear is that it is too low.

Go to a good alignment shop. Our alignment machine has ride height specs built into it. Probably any shop that has a Hunter machine or any other good laser alignment machine will have the ride height specs for you.
