Default Looking C-5

Just sold my '86 Pace Car last week and looking to buy a C-5. Any reason not to buy first year 1997? What changes 1997-2000. That's what I'm looking for. 100K mileage best deals, These cars if cared for I would think 200K wouldn't be out of the question. Any thoughts or sites to compare?

Thanks a million

Here're some resourses to check:

a quick overview:

One guy had a 300,000 mile+ C5, so it is possible for 200,000+ miles on the LS1/LS6 engines.

I restored a 79, spent gobs and stacks and piles of money. It was the greatest car I ever owned until I drove a 03 C5, traded the next day. Driveabilty, comfort, etc, etc. I loved the old one but a restored auto can only be the year it was born. I love the 79 and my heart is still with it; but.............. You make up your own mind. I still have the 03.

2001 C5 convertable, black top, black interior, platinum exterior, automatic with less than 17K miles on it. I sent you an email but in case you did not get it here you go. The car is located in NW Indiana
