RE: MTI R1 or X1!
Sorry, I have no clue about the R1. But i saw a clip of 1 2004 Z06 with the X1 and SLP Loudmouth exhaust. That was the meanest sounding ride I've ever heard. Click. This is the clip.
Hope I Helped,
Jonathan

RE: MTI R1 or X1!
I have the S1 or Z1 -- whatever was their most extreme cam once upon a time. I had it in my C5R but it just didn't work. Ultimately went with a custom grind Crowerthat was about 235/235 with very high ramp rates. It did a bit better.
That said, I would take MMTI's advice: tell them what you want and they'll tell you which one. The X1 has thin exhaust duration, is it made for Sc'd applications?

RE: MTI R1 or X1!
thanks guys. im still hoping for more replies, hopefully from guys thats had experience with mti or its cams. well my goal is to make over 400+ rwhp on a h/c auto. its a daily driver street car. ive heard to stick with any cam under 230 duration. cuz obviously the bigger i go, the more stall ill need and gears. im looking at going with a vigilante 3200. i also looked at the g1. its 228/232 also. any suggestions.. oh yeah thanks navy flyboy. that was one mean sick vette for sure. damn that x1 sounds mean. its not too choppy also. hey, on ls1tech. there was a guy that posted his x1 cam pulling on an ms3. i was shocked like hell. cuz the ms3 is a beast.
