Default Ok,,, Got the vette back from MTI

I just got the C5 back from Jeff at MTI , Houston and promised I would post the pics. I am very , very , pleased. The Dyno shows 521.36 hp and 496 ibs of torgue. It now has the following on it. Blackwing air flow filter system, Kooks Headers and x pipes, Valve Train kit with Heavy springs assembly, Lanati Cam, Mangus Super Charger and intercooler, Spec 3 Race clutch and slave cylinder, Racing snycro change outs and a beefed up output shaft. I can tell you that you cannot "get on it". You literally have to power into it even in 4 th gear or you will end up ......God knows where but not on the road. LOL. Thank you Jeff and crew at MTI, it was well worth the wait.

Looks good. How long did it take them to do all the work and did you have to get a cowl hood for the supercharger to fit?

It took about 3 weeks to get it back. Oh yes I already had the Borla 3 in SS tubes on the back. And it also has the intercooler for the blower.

Wow, it looks great. I have a lot of respect for MTI and they clearly did a great job here. You got really good power out of a great selection of the top notch parts.

And note that great minds think alike. Here is a picture of my 02 ZO6 as it ran around for two years with a Manusen SC in it, before I put the 427 and the Procharger on it. My Magnusen SC was not nearly as good as yours is: it was an early, early one (3rd C5 in the nation), non intercooled, 460 and then eventually about 480 RWHp). Note the hood stripe though!!!!! I think we may have the same brand of power bulge hood.

Yeah, I still have it: will never give it up. I pulled the Magnusen SC'd stock block and put in a built C5R 427 in september '04. Took me a full year to get it sorted out (and it still doesn't like cold weather, need to get the tune updated). 590 RWHP with only 5 lbs boost, and it can go to 12 if I want someday -- just a pulley away. I didn't need any more power, just that I had wanted a silver 427 cubic inch corvette coupe since 1966 and I had to have it.

Your car is very cool. Enjoy it. Have you done the mini tub kit in the rear so you can run 345s at the rear? Helps a lot with using that power.
