Default Passenger window malfunction

I'm having problems with my passenger side window not responsing to the switch. No response from either the master console panel switch or the passenger side switch. Need help if anyone has experience these problems before.

do you hear any whining, or possibly something that sounds like a wire being swung around in there???? If no noise at all, i might suspect a wiring issue...but only if say the door lock switch doesn't work on passenger side.
could still be the window regulator/motor....needs to be checked out before ANY parts are thrown at it though.

My '03 coupe lost passenger side door functions and had to have a new passenger side door black box controller repaced which cured all problems...... good luck.... cjs

mine quit working until i realized that i had not used it in a long time and the weather stripping was stuck to the window, so the motor was not strong enough to pull the window down until i opened the door then it worked just fine.

Frustrating isn’t it? [sm=headbang.gif]
I had the same problem with my 98. I read somewhere that by cleaning the grounding points most of the random problems will be like the one that you’re experiencing would be resolved.
The ground points that worked for me is on the driver side and passenger side wheel wells. The contacts get filthy and need cleaning. Next I disconnected and reconnected the battery to help reset the window.
It worked for me. Good luck.

I think you're going to have to pull the passenger door interior panel.

Put a multimeter positive onto the positive input for the regulatormotor.Ground the negative lead of the multimeterinto the doorframe, and hit the window switch to lower the window. Got 12 volts? If so, either the motor is bad, the ground from the motor is loose, or the actuator linkage is binding (unlikely).

If you don't have voltage when you hit the window switch, you'll have to find the common feed for the master (driver's) switch, and the passenger's switch. Do the same test for voltage. Work your way 'upstream', until you find power, then findthe short.
