RE: performance tuning in Austin, tx???????
i've asked around and the best places i know of aren't exactly in austin but one's in dallas(three hours away) and the other isbuda (around 45 minutes depending on where you are coming from)i believe. both have websites and there they are:

my choice would be LG motorsports in dallas. thery are probably among the elite in the nation among the likes of lingenfelter and others. A.R.T. seems pretty good, but i have never dealt with them so i wouldn't know for sure.

I'd drive to MTI in Houston (they're on the far west side so they aren't but about 90 minutes - 2 hours from your). They are almost in the Lingenfelter league with their own upgrades and models and their cars have won several industry wide shoot outs. They know what they are doing.

I live in Raleigh, NC. Grew up in Houston and visit there a lot. Went out toMTIwhen I was there last, then drove up 90 to Austin in about an hour and a half. I have two sons that live in Austin: one has a home just north of the UT Campus and the other lives out in Round Rock. As far as I know there are no really good 'vette shops in the area.
Horsepower Engineering is another good shop in Houston, too, I agree. They built the short-block in our Camaro.
