Anyone know anyone in Austin Tx that rebuilds Corvette transmissions? I have the rebuild kit, bought it off ebay. I just need a labor bid. Thanks for any suggestions.

 

If its a Automatic they are really simple to do. I have done 2 transmissions so far. One was a front wheel drive dodge van and the other was my F250 diesel 4x4. Get a rebuild book for the trans from a trans parts supply store. they take you step by step. check out the hard parts for worn splines and follow the clearences. Most rebuild kits use Alto clutches and they are generaly thinner so you can stack more and still maintain clearences. as you remove each clutch pak just wire them togther for a start count and orentation. I can hardly wait for mine to go out so I can go trough it. But to be truefull my buddy down the street builds racing autos for a hobby so if I get lost He can help me out.
