I'm thinking about changing the rims on my car. Any suggestions?

 

well i personally hate chrome unless its on cragars or something like that. your car is black. i have seen some really nice looking C5's with the black 06 Z06 rims on it. I like black rims though especially on a black car because everything looks so dark. Its like "Knight Rider" revisited lol. Im gonna get the black C5 Z06 rims on mine. maybe with a polished lip but im thinking about the all black ones.

 

Personally I have always liked chrome rims. I like to distinguish the rims from the tires. Chrome rims on a black car would look great.

 

How about black rims with chrome or "GOLD" beauty rings. Black and Gold look fantastic together. (They would go great with the Gold U. S. Marshal star!!! LOL)
Gold plating isn't as costly as people think. You could do the exhaust tips and licence plate frames too. In short, if it's chrome, Gold plate it!

 

I could go either way on this one, myself. LOVE the way your car looks right now, but the right set of rims might just be the ticket here for ya... do you have any pictures you could post of what you are considerin'??

 

Even the Gunmetal 06 Z06 rims would look good because then they wouldnt be the same black as the tire... they would be noticably different but it would all go together. Sorry, i just hate to be flashy and i think chrome is the flashiest you can get. Lol, i guess i shouldnt have bought a corvette if i didnt want people to look though!

 

Chrome, or highly polished aluminum, looks really good on a shiny black vette, but is sometimes a little too much on other colors, in my opinion.

I agree with the black on black, still,... gold beauty rings and even gold lugs or rim bolts. This would blend the wheels with the car, but not rob the car of it's beauty. You'd drink in the whole picture.
I really got a thing about Black and Gold. It's the theme I'm goin' with on the "Starship".
All chrome will go to Gold.
