all you need to do is pry out the center of your shifter... you know the part that shows your shift pattern....then remove the lock pin by pulling it out straight up...then you can unscrew the old **** and install the new one....maybe ten minutes tops

Default Replacing 99 manual shift ****

This is the best ****. Ive had one for a couple of years and couldnt consider using anything else. I have the original version no shift pattern, brushed alumnium and love the clean sporty look and the heft it adds to shifting.BUY THIS

You might want to try this method. I've used it quite a few times and it worked every time.

Default Replacing 99 manual shift ****

When I bought my car it had some Autozone false carbon fiber bolt-on shift **** on it and I hate it Ive been searching junkyards for a stock one, but have been unsuccessful... Does anyone make a nice stock looking one thats maybe weighted? Maybe someone has a stock one they would like to sell me, just shoot me a PM.

Anyone have any suggestions?

dont worry... apply the grease and leave it overnight... apply oil and then try to screw off... it will surely turn... else take it to garage...
