Ok here is the final verdict.

The car wouldn't even let me reset P0606(ECM) and P1518(TAC) codes. I checked all the fuses for the TAC module but nothing had blown so that led me to beleive there was a problem even before the fuse box. I started fishing around my battery and tracing the line to the starter. I found that right over my diff the B+ cable had sagged enough to weld onto the exhaust. It was poorly routed. I replaced that. I still couldn't reset my codes. I ripped apart all the wiring harness and also found connectors wired in to my TPS (BOO!)It was like finding a bunch of mold in your fridge! So i soldered the wires hoping maybe my codes would now reset. They never. I ripped out the old computer and bought another programmed one for $150. Installed it and went through the relearn sequence and it fired up instantly on thye 4th cycle.

Basically the computer shorted out and gave me several false readings. So my car never did overheat it just showed the gauge was wrapped. I never really beleived it was overheated cuz there was no boiling, no exhaust ticking, no weird smells, nothing! All together it was a blessing in disguise because I had an intermintant problem with the TPS, so now its rewiredand nowgone. I also boughta motor city mold hood to pull out some of the hot air out of the engine bay (looks deadly!). I think i might go with an methonal/water injectin kit too but not too sure on everyones thought on this?

Good to hear it ended up being a cheap fix! I think the snow performance meth kits are pretty good. I was looking at getting one but Lee talked me out of it. Do you have an intercooler or aftercooler on your vortech kit? I have the aftercooler and it basically does nothing.
