Default Trunk..won't open

A friend has a '01 Z06 and his trunk won't open. Neither thebutton by the steering wheel nor the "clicker" will work. [:@]
Any ideas,How to get it open?

I recall that there is a manual pulllever-cable somewhere on the driver's side behind the seats to open it. The owner's manual will explain where it is, I can't remember.

Yeah it's a steel cable, very thin, with a cap on the end, sticking out about six or eight inches from under the carpet. There are two of them, one for the gas door and one for the trunk. Just pull it.

My 03 coupe has those two pull wires for the hatch where indicated, but if you can't open the hatch, getting to those manual pull wires from the front seat looks like a real challenge............ 8-)
