Default WHIPER PROBLEM

alright guys i have a 99 vette... just today.... it was raining yesterday and i left the switch to the wiper blades on... so i start up my car today and shut them right to the off position... all of a sudden the wipers went on by them selves... then off... then back on and stayed stuck in one position for a few min then back down and back on... well you guys get the idea... what in the world is going on with them?

they are rubber drains under the wiper motor and they clog up.the motor may dry out but not if the cowl is filled with water

ya didnt say if they had crud in them.the wiper motor module may have water in it.you will have to remove assembly and dry out.i poured a shot glass of alcohol in module, sloshed it around [twice] then put in front of a fan for a day.the module it bolted to the motor on the bottom.DO NOT remove the large torx bolt that holds arm to motor ifd ya do and mess up the timing the wipers will try to wipe your hood.test tree calls for undoing stalk switch elect. conn. and if it still occurs the stalk switch is ok
