I've had my car now for a few days. When I'm in first gear the car is not prompting me to do the 1 to 4 shift. Do I have to be in a certain driving mode for this to happen? This is a brand new 2007 C6

If it is anything like the CTS-V you can get the CAGS eliminator. I believe dealerships do this. I know Lindsay Cadillac does it for the CTS-V guys. Might want to check withyour dealership.

 

Yeh, CAGS eliminators usually will run you about 15-20 dollars but it's worth it (check corvettegarage, madvet, ebay, ect). The light will still prompt you to shift from first to fourth. But the transmission wont actually force you to do it.
