2009 Chevrolet Corvette Blue Devil preview
Here's a new preview on the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Blue Devil, with detailed information on design, performance, history and competitors. Available is also a photo gallery with various Chevrolet models.
"Chevrolet will unveil a more powerful version of the Z06 called the Blue Devil. The supercar will debut in the middle of 2008 as a 2009 model and will be priced around $100,000. The Blue Devil comes as a direct response at the Dodge Viper unveiled at Detroit Auto Show. The Blue Devil will also compete with Porsche 911 Turbo and Ferrariās next F430 Challenge Stradale..."

This is still not an official Chevrolet or GM announcement so don't take this too seriously. I would expect GM to trump the Viper, but with all their financial woes, you just don't know (but then, Chrysler is in deeper do-do and they went ahead with the new Viper).
Remember, at this state, one to two years ahead, these same folks were saying that the C6 ZO6 would have a 500 HP, 400 cubic inch, three valve engine with variable valve timing, and they got some of styling cues wrong, too.
It will be fun to wait and see what develops.
And I bet it has more of a special look to the hood than in these pictures.
