Default Battery Life of a FOB

I have a C6 (2005) base model convertible, this is my 5th overall Corvette and just had to replace the battery in my fob again. The battery seems to last about 2 months, buying Duracell batteries and they are lasting 8-10 weeks best. I keep the fob by it's self along with a house key and that is it. Should I just get a new fob?

any thoughts?

Sounds as if your fob has issues, If you had it apart it must not have stuck buttons, and does it looks clean inside? Could be a faulty fob. I have bought many off amazon with no issues. It should last a few years, before having issues.

the unit looks clean but I guess you can't judge it by it's looks. I'll order a new set.
