My 06 with 700 miles keeps shredding the fan belt .It cuts off about 1/4 inch. The dealer says that all is aligned .Anyone have a similarproblems????[:@]

 

It is pretty simple to find a misaligned belt, frankly, but my experience is that dealers just blow you off rather than work for your behalf - why none of my cars ever go back to the dealer. If you have given the dealer an honest chance to fix it, document that, then take it to an independent shop where they will use a simple laser pointer to verify alignemtn and find the problem in about 10 minutes.

 

You HAVE GOT to be kidding me. So what the **** is there explanation for the fan belt shredding?
man, take it somewhere else have them properly diagnose the problem, then make another trip to that dealer minus your car, and report the problem they found.
I can't believe it, what are they thinking or NOT thinking. It's a brand new car....[:@]

 

Following up again, the only time I have ever seen a belt shred was when it was misaligned by about 5/16 inch.
