Default Front license plate holder

I have a new 08 convertible in crystal red and live in NJ which requires a front plate.
Any suggestions on a bracket which doesnt require to stick to the bumper?
I have seen some that stick mount in between the bumper and lower scoop.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

It's required in my state too, but many people don't.Especially with a Vette!
Do they enforce that in Jersey?

I know it is required but I prefer not to put one on.
I plan to take notice of other vette's to see what others are doing.
Have you been pulled over because of it?
Tx!

Never been pulled over for that.
I had my 350Z for 3 years without a front plate, and never had a problem.
In California I don't believe it is really enforced. Even if you were to get pulled over here, I believe it's just a "fix it ticket'".

I talk to 2 other vette owners in NJ and they said they have never been pulled over as well.

I guess I will take my chances.

Thanks

Hey guys, I was just browsing your forum looking for some tech advice and saw this post. In CT the cops are pretty strict about the front plate law, and lot's of people are going with these, http://www.swiftmotorsports.com/inde...d7fb26b7164943

I think the remote controlled motorized one was just released too.

Basically, it's mounted under the bumper and the plate is displayed while used, if you want it hidden for show, you just slide it under the bumper!

I grew up in NC, and would have to say that I like the laws there much more!! I think CT just uses the front tag to increase revenue, lol. I think a no tag ticket is 75 dollars here, but people risk it because they don't want to destroy a bumper. Not an issue, but they also use this as a reason to pull people over late at night, and just to check for anything else. I know the hide away plates are very popular, no holes in the front of the bumper, completely hidden when it's put away for shows. The new motorized one is awesome, I saw it being used the other day, and it looked bad as hell, but I'm afraid people will use it to try and evade from the five-ohhhh.

i have been driving corvettes for 11 years now, and neither of my vettes wore their front plates. i live in ny state, 35 miles n/nw of nyc. only got 2 tickets, both while parked in long island city. seems the police their are under orders to boost revenues. never have i gotten hasseled in a more rural setting. the local police are quite considerate of this.
