Default HELP! Time display button is blank!

2008 C6

So I have read a few LONG threads on other forums about this situation, but some were so long I couldn't finish, and no one had any real idea of what/why and how to fix.
So I just had to have my alternator replaced. So obviously they disconnected the battery. Turns out I actually needed a new battery, too.
Now, the time button on my display is blank.
I read in the other forums that it may have something to do with the gps. Turns out, when I click on the NAV button, the gps symbol is crossed out.
So gps is not working now, causing there to be no time displayed.
Anyone have an answer to this?
Thanks!

I did the same research and what I remember is the only fix for this is to replace the head unit. I planed on upgrading mine anyway so I'm not too concerned about it. I hate putting CD's in it :-)

Default Blank Clock

Go to the canadian corvetteforum and look for "missing clock on c6 Nav fix. I just did it and it fixed the clock on my C6 in just moments.

@themoj0 did you manage to fix it? Otherwise would you recommedn it?

Sorry for being off-topic. I'm looking for a good stereo and can't make my mind up which one is the best.

There are so many aftermarket stereos that it's hard to find a good one. Many of them have one digit difference in their name. Anyways I've been reading reviews on the nets and they are all hype. Most of them downplay the negatives and hype features like 7" as if it would be that important. I've found a different blog and I've set my heart on the pioneer 1550. The thing I liked about this blog is that it says it how it is. No sugar coating no BS. This blog post is a bit critical. It has highlighted some flaws that put me on the fence. What do you say?

Any tips?

Default zo6 clock stopped working

I had the same issue on 2008 ZO6 after replacing the 2nd battery about 1 year ago. I downloaded the ZIP file recommended on the forum a month ago but was hesitant about using it for fear of more damage but my dealer assured me that it would not do any damage. Anyway, last week I parked the car on the street facing south for at least 6 hours while cleaning out my garage. Low and behold when I came to start the car the clock started working. I had heard previously that it would take some time for the satellite to sync with the radio. I did not use the zip file. Good luck if your clock has not yet started working..

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the info. If possible, you might also put in the link to the zip file.

I figured it probably was, I was just too lazy to go and look it up.

My GM dealer in Simi stated that GM had just come out with a fix and updated the radios that were not working. I assume this was done through a satellite such as On Star uses. Mine clock is now working except for the Month and Year. The day is correct and changes each day.
