Alright, let me start off by stating that I don't know a thing about Vettes. I drive a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that runs a 12.88 ET @ 107 MPH in the 1/4 mile. I've always been a Mopar Man but just can't get over the 2005 Vette Body Style. I belive its the sexyest thing I've ever seen (besides my wife). I don't plan on selling the Mopar, just adding a built Vette to my collection. My Ram will be running in the 11s by the end of the year so I'm looking for something faster than my daily driven Truck.

Any Suggestions???

Ideas, yeah.

Buy a several year old 'vette (you are going to throw away alot of stuff so why buy new?). Trash the motor and build up something in the 800-1000 RWHP range: 7 liters built with about 15+ lbs of boost. Get in the mid nines with it: if you accept a bit of roughness.

Mine does low 10s and is completely stock in the way it drives -- smooth idle, docile in traffic, etc. Accept a bit of attitude and fussiness and you can get another second. It can be done.
