Hey everyone,

Glad to have found this place. I am considering a 2005 or 2006 C6 as my expression of mid-life crisis. This has already been approved by SHWIMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed). I definitely would like a 6spd coup, black on black. There seems to be many of those out there and I was hoping for some advice from you guys and gals as to what I should be on the alert for.

Welcome to the forums! Cool on receiving clearance from the tower on gettin a 'Vette there, my friend! I don't know much about C6's but I can offer this advice... when shopping for ours, we found several high mileage cars that were in fairly excellent shape, and conversely found several LOW mileage cars that were absolutely rat bagged. Make sure the car you choose is professionally inspected, my friend, to avoid any future heartache.

I was going to pick-up a lower miled 05 or 06 but for 2-3 grand more I bought an 07 new. It made more sense given what the market prices seemed to be where I was looking.

This is my first Corvette and it's a hoot!
