Default Replace Brake Fluid?

When having work done on my 2005 Vette (about 8500 miles, 1.5 years old), the service manager suggested replacing the break fluid (with .4) due to absorption of water. Suggested it be done annually.

I've never replaced brake fluid before, is this really needed?

At one point was thinking of replacing brake fluid to one that is less compressible and takes heat better.

Would appreciate advice.

Annually? He's got to be kidding. either your car has a really lousy brake system or lousy fluid if that is necessary.

I would not go back to that place. I'd never trust them again.

Lee,

I thought this was quite strange too. I think I am going to just ignore the suggestion. This is a new guy to the service area (not the one I usually work) and it seemed to be more interest in getting billable work done.

Jim
that guy has to be New to suggest something like that. And to use the reason of "water absorbtion" ??
What the heck is he thinking about!
