My 2006 C6 Corvette's CD player finally went kaput, so decided to replace with an Alpine BT/CD/Receiver from Crutchfield. I had it professionally installed and now it sounds like crap, (even worse than stock)...

So... am thinking I should just replace the speakers, but don't want to spend a lot, just want it to sound "decent"... I've read on the forum that don't really need the center speaker or the rears so was thinking about disconnecting those and just replacing the door speakers..

Does anyone have any recommendations on speakers, amps, etc???
