I have my 05 coupe in the garage for the winter, I started it today to move it out of the garage for a minute, but could not get the shifter out of park. What should I be looking for?

Since I think you have to have your foot on the brake to get out of Park, I'd check the switch for that interlock and any fuses that may be involved.

 

Having the exact same problem with my 07. Its been on and off for about a year now. tapping the brake pedal doesn't work but if I sit there with my foot on the brake eventually I can depress the shifter button and go into reverse.
