Default Tire Evaluation

So I burned through my frist set of rears on '09 Z06. New run flats cost $406 from the dealer $342 from the buddy down the street. I could also get non run flats for about $200. Anything I need to be aware of running the non runflats verse runflats? Typically driving is hill country cruising and stretching the legs out on her.
Trying to save money so I can get a spare set of hooziers for when I track the car.
Anyone got any opnions on tiers, looking for the best value.

I can only pass on what I have heard. The run flats will give you a noticeably harsher ride due to the stiffness of the sidewall. But that same stiffness could contribute to the handling? I'm pretty sure if putting on non run flats was dangerous GM would have made it impossible. Whatever you do I'm sure there are lots of us who would like to know how it turns out. Good Luck!

Two suggestions:

One - try Tirerack.com for great prices on tires for your Corvette

Two - Try ********.com for a Corvette Forum that has a pulse. This place is dead and over run with bad advertising!
