Default Winshield replacement

My windshield needs to be replaced, thankfully in my state there is no deductible for glass replacement, so it won't cost me anything. Anything I need to know? I don't have heads-up display. Who best to handle it? One thing I have always wondered about, is it normal for drivers side wiper to be restricted in coming all the way up like the passenger side? or is it just my car?

Welcome to the forum. If there are any sensors or cameras attached on the inside of the windshield, Safelite says in their advertisements that they take care to be sure that they are realigned and aimed properly.

You’re in luck that it’s fully covered! Make sure you go to a reputable installer. Dealerships or certified glass shops are usually best. Even without a heads-up display, the installer should ensure the glass is sealed properly and the wipers are correctly aligned. Speaking of wipers, it’s normal for the driver’s side to have a slightly different sweep than the passenger side; it doesn’t mean anything is wrong. After replacement, avoid slamming doors or driving aggressively for a few hours so the adhesive sets fully. Other than that, your new windshield should function perfectly.

Good advice but you realize that it's 2 years late?
