2014 stingray
The new engine is a technological leap forward, and I am sure the whole package will be very successfull for performance and handling.
My opinion on style: The interior looks very cool, and I will bet feels just as great as it looks... The front end styling is great. Even the profile is Corvette.
My problem is the rear. All I could think of when I saw the official photos was
"Cor-varo".
I hate to think it, but I think the logic behind this car in 2010-2011 was:
Corvette sales are at, or near, or all time lows.
Camaro sales are at all time highs.
We (Chevy) want to keep the Corvette, but need to play the money+logic game (bad mix for special cars), so we will give America what it wants - a new Corvette with the styling cues they love from the Camaro, it'll be great!
I for one am not running out to the dealer to sign up. But then again, I am not crazy about the Camaro either.
I am crazy about all other generations of Corvettes, so who knows - mayby I will love the C7 too in the future... but I loved the C4 and C5s when they came out. I liked the C6, but was (and still am) disappointed by the pedestrian headlights.
Just my 2 cents - my prediction is this will be a 4-5 year run with moderate to slow sales. Maybe that will make them more rare as collectors, like C2's down the road, who knows...

In general I can accept it but the rear end lower black panel disturbs me. The taillites look better when lit but still Corvettes have had four taillites for a long, long time. Just don't see how they can trash such a basic styling cue like that.
The new Camaro wasn't my cup of tea either.
