C7 Front Time on Car I'm Selling
I’m prepping to sell my C7 Corvette Stingray and could use some input from the community.
The rear tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports (PSS) in 285/30ZR20, still in decent shape.
However, the front Michelin tires are pretty worn out and need to be replaced. I’m considering going with a budget-friendly option for the front, specifically the Lexani LX-Twenty (https://lexanitires.com/en/lx-twenty-1196):
Size: 245/35ZR19
Load Index / Speed Rating: 99W XL
UTQG: 320 A A
Type: All-Season Ultra High Performance
Warranty: 45,000 miles
Price Point: Much more affordable than another set of Michelins
The goal here is not to track the car, just to get it road-ready and safe for the next owner. But I’m wondering:
Thanks in advance!

- Will this mismatch affect handling noticeably, since the PSS is a max-performance summer tire and the Lexani is a budget all-season?
- Is this a bad strategy when trying to sell the car?
Thanks in advance!
A couple of things that you could look at. One would be to see if you could find a less expensive new performance tire. Tire rack would be a good place to check for this option. Two would be to see if you could find a couple of used Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
However I don't think your proposed tire mismatch would be a problem for everyday driving. However if the next driver was inclined to track the car or drive an auto crosses, it might be a problem.
