I did know that, there's no electricity here and the heat from the aluminum hat of the carbon ceramic rotors is a non-issue so it should be fine... IF it fixes the issue permanently, that is.

Easy (and cheap) way to make your Corvette look even better. 😍

I learned something when I was getting an eyebrow put on my Transit High roof conversion van. There is a mark on each side of the windshield with the letters A S and an arrow pointing down in between the letters. When I asked him what that meant, he said that is the lower limit that they can tint. I was wondering if yours abided by that rule which I think is probably a federal law but not sure.

I knew of that as well from many years ago but no, this is under that mark. Legally NO tint is allowed in PA so if you put any on you are technically illegal but they don't seem to care much around here as long as you aren't doing anything stupid.

AWE Exhaust comparison with the stock NPP. C7 Corvette OVERLOAD!

73shark 06-06-2020 02:10 PM

is is the finish on the exhaust tips the same as black chrome?

It looks like it but I'm not sure. I know the carbon build up wipes off a lot easier than it did on the stock chrome tips so I think there's something more to it.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 gets an AWE exhaust. 😎👍

Sounds pretty good. I found this tool when I was putting the SLP twin tips on my Tahoe that can be used to remove those new rubber hangers on exhaust systems. After trying several different attempts with channel locks, I broke down and paid the $25 at the local automotive tool shop and it was well worth it.

I know of the tool but these were surprisingly easy to remove by hand so I didn't need to employ it. Definitely useful in almost every other application, though.

The AWE exhaust COMPLETES the C7 Corvette. Sounds absolutely incredible.

73shark 06-15-2020 08:33 PM

No seat belt, oops. ;)

Hard to hear the exhaust sound from inside the car. If you do it again, maybe have a car alongside that could pick it up better.

That's what I will be doing in the future. This was all done in the same day as the install and it was a long day to say the least.

Easy and cheap XPEL protection that every C7 or C8 Corvette should have.

Gain power and drivability by swapping out the restricted stock air intake on your Corvette.

73shark 07-07-2020 09:28 PM

I couldn't tell in the video if the screen mesh was in front of the stock air filter or not but I did notice that the new air filter had a mesh wrapped around the filter itself. Not sure what the purpose of the meshes in either case other than possibly to keep big chunks out of the filter.

Yeah I'm not sure either but it's interesting how much this new intake/filter improves drivability.

An easier/faster way to open the doors on your C7 Corvette.

73shark 08-18-2020 10:27 PM

You probably already know about the plastic sheets that fit between deck joists that channel the water out to the perimeter of the deck and keep whatever is under the deck dry. Haven't seen them advertised for a few years tho. I think about them every time I see your C8 under there.

I have something like that on the way for when my truck is under there but my C8 doesn't sleep outside. It's only there when I'm coming and going all day which I have been a lot with the car because of all the things I have in motion for it right now.

We have a little fun finishing off the rear tires on the C7 Corvette ZR1

jayno20 10-13-2020 09:30 PM

It's been a full year since I bought my C7 Corvette ZR1. Is it the BEST Corvette ever? 🤔

Protection from rock chips and scratches for your windshield? This stuff is GREAT!

73shark 11-04-2020 09:06 PM

After they removed the Expel, did you happen to look closely at the spot where the rock damaged the Expel to see if it did any noticeable marring on the paint itself?

Yes I did. I actually filmed it, too but you couldn't really see anything because of how reflective the black paint is lol. There was nothing marked on the paint.

Breaking out the ZR1 for the first time in 2021!

Like you like you said I I think it's better to I think it's better to change the oil before you store it and get rid of all the moisture in the oil.

FWIW, faux=foe, not fox. 😉 At least I thought that's what you were talking about when you were talking about the cup holder.

Sounds awesome sitting there idling. 👍

Thank you! The AWE exhaust really makes this car sound amazing! The cup holder is also a cell phone holder, I was saying "phone" :D
