Default Extreme Online Store Rear Diffuser Fins install

I searched the forums to get the scoop on installing the diffuser fins after watching all the videos for the EOS and ACS product. Didn't find any. I chose to purchase the EOS fins for my C7 Grand Sport. I want to share my experience with this kit. First, they look very nice and came painted in the carbon flash black. On the enclosed templates it states #1 Drivers side and #2 Passenger side. That is straight forward enough until you look at the fins. There was no #1 or #2 on the fins anywhere just and L on two and R on two. I spoke with EOS support and they said the two l fins go on the drivers side. Okay! I started working on the drivers side using all the little tricks shown in the videos to get enough space. Man is it tight in there with many sharp items that will get you bleeding fast. I finally got them tightened down and crawled out for a look. Both fins were leaning left. I decided to quit for the day and doctor all of the cuts and scrapes. The next morning I wrapped both hands and arms with ace bandages, much like a boxers tape. I spent the next few hours swapping the L fins for the R fins on the drivers side. Wow, straight up and down and looked good. Passenger side was much easier and were straight. Job complete. Here are my tips. 1. Wrap up your hands and arms. 2. Use a 10mm ratchet wrench. No room for a socket and ratchet. 3. The instructions need correction. The L fins to the Right side R fins to the left.

The quality of the EOS kit is good and they look good installed. The price of $89 with free shipping is worth it. This not an easy install but with patience and care you can avoid the cuts and bruises. Support was useless!
