Default CA SMOG Check

I took my new2024 C8 for a smog check here in CA. The guy hooked up a code reader and it showed 4 different areas that did not have a green checkmark next to it. He told me that the car would not pass a smog check at that time. He told me to go put more miles on the car. (I only had about 85 miles on the car). I put a few more hundred miles on it and ow two areas are ot checked greed. Then I stated hearing the GM will not let the Oxygen seńsor?? & Cat. Converter?? be able to operate correctly?? until about 1,200 miles have been put on the car. And I have to have that done within the 20 days the DMV gives me to register the car here in CA. I should reach that distance tomorrow so I am excited to see if the two areas that are not checked on the code reader will then be checked when I reach the 1,200 miles.
I also took the car to a Chevrolet Dealer Service department and they said they will not do a smog check until 1,200 miles are on the car as well. Anyone else have this problem? Cross your fingers that I can get it to pass the SMOG Check.

Default Still waiting

I am adding another update on the "O" sensor on the code reader I am using to see when I can take the vehicle in for a smog check. I now have approx. 1,350 miles and the "O" sensor still has not got a green check mark next to it. All other diagnostics are green and good to go. Anybody have that problem?

Thanks. I was finally able to get my car smogged. The Oxygen Sensor tripped at ~1,350 miles.

Oh good I saw your February post and wandered how that turned out. Does the car meet your expections? always wanted to drive the C-8 but was afraid of not taking one home. Enjoy your ride.

I waited two years to get my 2023 C8. It was definitely worth the wait.

Very nice, I do like the color. My brother back in the 60's had a camero about that color.

Everybody that sees it say they like the color yet it's only about a 4% take. I think part of that is due to the fact if you only see it on a computer, you will see a distinct green cast to it. I know I had to see it in person before I put it on the order blank.

Very interesting, My first impression was mellow yellow with a touch of green. It's a bright happy color. I wore bright green T shirts at work in construction for years so I got used to the bright green's, but your car is a big step down from that. I like it. Good choice.
