i HAVE A 99 VETTE WITH A PROBLEM HEADLIGHT. i NEED THE MECHANISM (MOTOR) THAT OPERATES IT. WHEN i TURN THEM ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WORKS FINE BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOESN'T OPEN ALL THE WAY. WHERE CAN I GET THIS MECHANISM? THANK YOU.

 

Try www.ecklers.com. You're opening gears are made of plastic from the factory. Before you order the whole mechanism have a look at the gear. If the teeth are overly worn or missing than that is most likely your problem. You can also get brass replacements from what I understand. There's also the fix of after market fixed headlights. You may also want to have a look at your vacuum lines. They tend to dry out, get brittle and crack from the excessive heat in the engine bay. Trace them back to the reservoir.
