I see vibration on the harmonic balancer compared to all the drive pulleys. Is it normal? Should I be concerned and change it?

I just bought a C5 and it had just a slight wabble. You mentioned a vibration so it may not be the same issue. Just wanted to chime in since no one else did. I had two chevy mechanics look at mine. One said “ ahhhh it’s not that bad.” The other one said “yep, that’s gonna need replacement.” It may have lasted another 1000 miles, or maybe 5,10, or even 15000… I was not willing to manage that risk, on the account of wanting to put some miles on her. So It was replaced with the OEM, which is known to be an inferior design. Free RnR so I cannot complain. There is plenty of Youtube vids showing that wobble. That’s where I started.

 

Probably would not hurt to replace as if it goes its catastrophic....especially if you drive it hard. I replaced mine, but it was a bitch....
